A popular presenter, he has lectured worldwide, including at Oxford, Cambridge, the National Geographic Society, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Author of Connemara: Visions of Iar Chonnacht, as well as numerous articles, Michael is a member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland, the Croagh Patrick archaeological research team, and the Heritage Council of Ireland.
