Marian Dunlea M.Sc., IAAP, ICP, is a Jungian analyst in Galway, Ireland. Marian is a Somatics practitioner who has been teaching and leading workshops internationally for the past 30 years integrating body and soul. She is head of the BodySoul Europe training program, sister organization of the Marion Woodman Foundation, where she is a core faculty member. With the development of her unique approach, Marian incorporates developments in neuroscience, trauma therapy, and attachment theory with Jungian psychology, and the phenomenological standpoint of interconnectedness. In addition to her Jungian training, she has had training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Psychosynthesis, Infant Observation, BodySoul Rhythms, and Somatic Experiencing. Her book, BodyDreaming in the Treatment of Developmental Trauma, Routledge Press, won the Gradiva Award for best book, of 2019, by NAAP (National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis) and also shared first place award of The International Association for Jungian Studies’ Best Book award 2019.
